Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

The purpose of Nazarene Missions International (NMI) is to mobilize the Church of the Nazarene in missions through 1) praying, 2) giving, 3) educating, and 4) engaging children and youth.  NMI is responsible for encouraging and equiping the local church to engage in the missions efforts of the Church of the Nazarene.  Each region, district, and local church works together as a vital part of the world-wide effort.
NMI SUPPORTS MISSIONARIES through prayer and giving.
NMI WELCOMES AND HOSTS missionaries when they return for home assignments.
NMI helps EQUIP MISSIONARIES to return to their field of service.
NMI is the GLOBAL MISSIONS ADVOCATE in every local church.
NMI focuses on five strategic areas where the local church can have maximum impact on missions in the Church of the Nazarene:
The first is PRAYER.  NMI gathers believer together for prayer in the local church, linking us to our brothers and sister is Christ across the globe.
The second is the WORLD EVANGELISM FUND, which fuels the Church’s mission by combining gifts from each person and church to fund ministries everywhere.
Through the ALABASTER OFFERING, the third emphasis, ministries around the world receive funds to purchase property and buildings.
The fourth is to ENGAGE CHIDLREN AND YOUTH through education and fostering calls to missons.
CARE & CONNECTION is the last area of emphasis, strategically connecting Nazarene missionaries and Nazarene churches through prayer, personal contacts and generous giving.
NMI is people praying, giving, building, and engaging all ages with the good news of Jesus.

Active Missions

Faith Promise

What is FAITH PROMISE?  It is one of the most meaningful methods for supporting missions.  It is a gift over and above the tithe.  A Faith Promise is exactly what it says – a promise made in faith between and individual and God.  That promise is based on what the giver believes God wants him or her to give to ministries beyond those of the local church.  The majority of Faith Promise giving goes toward the World Evangelism Fund which fuels the Church of the Nazarene’s mission by combining each person’s and church’s gifts to fund ministries everywhere. The next part goes to General-Church-approved special offerings such as Alabaster, World Mission Broadcast, Missionary Healthcare, and Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (including Ukraine support), and many others.  The remainder goes to our efforts compassion outreach to the local community and to local logistics costs.

Northside partners with the Lost and Found Church of the Nazarene in Brownsville, TX, to provide humanitarian aid and respite care to refugees and asylees along the North Mexico and Southern U.S. borders. We collect basic toiletries and a few other necessities and assembly kits which are given to migrants arriving at the bus station in Brownsville. These are called Dignity Kits to reflect that part of emulating Christ’s love is showing those in need that they are deeply valued and deserve to live in peace and with dignity. These are delivered to the border by teams who help distribute the kits and also help minister in the colonias, the substandard housing developments found along the border. We also provide monetary gifts to support the ministry and give Christmas gifts to the children of the colonias.

Community Enrichment Center

COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT CENTER (CEC), North Richland Hills, TX.  Northside also provides support to CEC, an organization that works victims of family violence, homelessness, and low-income families and seniors across Tarrant County.  CEC works directly with these families and individuals to break the cycle of poverty and family violence and to change lives by restoring hope and sharing God’s love.
